Juventus held on for victory over Cremonese in what was Luciano Spalletti's first game in charge since replacing Igor Tudor.

Juventus made a winning start to life under Luciano Spalletti, after edging out Cremonese 2-1 at Stadio Giovanni Zini.

Goals from Filip Kostic and Andrea Cambiaso were enough to make it back-to-back victories for the Bianconeri, who had been winless in five beforehand.

Just two minutes had elapsed when Kostic latched onto a loose ball in the hosts' box and fired past goalkeeper Emil Audero.

Audero, though, came to Cremonese's rescue later in the half, making smart saves to deny Dusan Vlahovic and Manuel Locatelli.

However, the second goal arrived midway through the second period, Cambiaso lashing home after Francisco Conceicao's deflected cross ricocheted kindly into his path.

Jamie Vardy halved the deficit seven minutes from time, racing in behind the defence and finishing across goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.

Yet, it proved a consolation for the hosts as Juve ensured a winning beginning for Spalletti, who replaced Igor Tudor earlier this week.

Data Debrief: Bianconeri quick out of the blocks

Just 85 seconds were on the clock when Kostic fired the visitors ahead at Stadio Giovanni Zini.

It was the second-fastest away goal scored by a Juventus player in Serie A since 2004-05, after Nicola Legrottaglie's effort against Atalanta in April 2008 (46 seconds).

Cambiaso doubled the lead. Born in 2000, he is the youngest defender to have scored at least five goals and provided at least five assists in the last three Serie A campaigns (five goals, seven assists).
