Gibbs-White ‘keeping it professional’ amidst Spurs rumours, says Aina

Morgan Gibbs-White played in Nottingham Forest’s pre-season friendly against Monaco despite talks of a move to Tottenham this summer.
Ola Aina insisted Morgan Gibbs-White is “keeping it professional” after playing in Nottingham Forest’s pre-season match against Monaco.
Gibbs-White was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham before the transfer reportedly stalled due to an issue involving his release clause.
The England international started in Forest’s 0-0 draw with Monaco on Saturday and almost scored with a header from Callum Hudson-Odoi’s corner in the first half.
Gibbs-White scored seven goals in the Premier League last season, a career-high, and also registered eight assists as Forest finished just one point off the Champions League places.
Defender Ola Aina claimed he does not know the details of Gibbs-White’s potential transfer, but ensured that the midfielder is focused on Forest for the time being.
“He's keeping it professional, I don’t know the ins and outs of that,” Aina told Sky Sports.
“He was here today, playing, and he’s training, keeping fit as normal.
“At the end of the day, we’re all professionals – we’ve got a job to do and that’s what Morgan is doing right now. He’s keeping it professional.”
Taiwo Awoniyi made his return to the Forest squad, starting the second half against the French opposition.
The striker suffered a ruptured intestine on May 11 and was placed into an induced coma after requiring surgery.
