Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Argentina international Facundo Buonanotte on a season-long loan from Brighton.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The attacking midfielder, who has been capped twice by Argentina, has joined the Blues on a season-long loan deal, with Enzo Maresca looking to add further depth to his squad.

The 20-year-old began his professional career at Rosario Central, before sealing a move to Brighton in January 2023.

Buonanotte, who was loaned out to Leicester City last term, has racked up 71 Premier League appearances over three seasons, tallying 13 goal involvements (nine goals and four assists).

"I'm very happy to join Chelsea," said Buonanotte.

"It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m just looking to add as much to the squad as possible, help the team and help the staff."

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Chelsea have agreed a deal with German giants Bayern Munich for wantaway striker Nicolas Jackson.

The striker was in Munich to complete the formalities of a previously agreed transfer over the weekend, but the move broke down due to Liam Delap's injury.

Chelsea, though, recalled Marc Guiu from his loan at Sunderland, freeing up the space for Jackson to depart.

There is expected to be another outgoing from Chelsea in the form of 19-year-old Tyrique George, who is reportedly set for a move to Fulham.
