On the day he reached 100 games for Paris Saint-Germain, Goncalo Ramos was the hero in their Ligue 1 victory over Nice.

Luis Enrique hailed the impact of super sub Goncalo Ramos after he marked his 100th appearance for Paris Saint-Germain with a dramatic winner in the 1-0 victory over Nice.

It looked as though the Ligue 1 champions would have to settle for a point at the Parc des Princes, but Ramos nodded home from close range in the 94th minute to ensure they will remain top of the table at the end of this weekend's action.

Ramos' goal came as he reached a century of games for PSG, and it was his 18th as a substitute since his 2023 arrival.

No player from Europe's top-five leagues has more goals after coming off the bench in that period, with Girona captain Cristhian Stuani also on 18.

It was also PSG's first Ligue 1 goal in second-half stoppage time since February 25, 2024, when Ramos was also on target off the bench to secure a 1-1 draw with Rennes, scoring after 96 minutes and 12 seconds on that occasion.

"It's very positive for both Goncalo and the team. Playing 100 matches with Paris is important for him, and we're happy about it," Luis Enrique said.

"He did his job well in the 15 or 20 minutes he played, and it's important for his confidence to have scored this goal."

PSG's win came after they fired off 28 shots at goal, though only six hit the target and they only amassed 1.32 expected goals (xG), albeit only allowing Nice to generate 0.48.

Luis Enrique also threw Ousmane Dembele on in an attempt to change the game, having initially rested the Ballon d'Or winner ahead of Tuesday's Champions League meeting with Bayern Munich, and he felt his substitutes made a decisive impact.

"That's football. You have to know how to manage each phase of the game," he continued. "We're used to having the ball, that's our first quality.

"We like to play against a team that is so far from our goal. We're used to it, and we have very high-quality players.

"It's important for us to get this result on the last play, so we continue on our way. We're happy.

"We thought that the entries of Ousmane and Goncalo were important, but the whole team did a very good job. We're very, very happy."
