Liverpool play PSG and Real face Atletico in Champions League last 16 draw

Liverpool will play PSG while Real and Atletico will contest the Madrid derby as the Champions League last 16 draw is made.

Liverpool will play Paris-Saint Germain and Real Madrid will face city rivals Atletico in the Champions League last 16.

Arsenal have been drawn to play PSV Eindhoven and Aston Villa face Club Brugge in the two-legged ties next month.

There is also a battle between the Bundesliga's top two as Bayern Munich face Bayer Leverkusen.

Liverpool were the only team to win seven of their league-stage matches and topped the table, but face a difficult task if they are to reach the quarter-finals.

PSG beat Brest 10-0 on aggregate in the play-off round and boast one of Europe's most in-form players in Ousmane Dembele.

Holders Real Madrid saw off Manchester City 6-3 on aggregate but will have to do it the hard way if they are to defend their crown, with Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG all on their side of the draw.

Villa have already been beaten 1-0 by Club Brugge this season but will face them at Villa Park in the second leg of this knock-out tie, while Arsenal also have a home second leg against PSV.

Elsewhere, Benfica will take on Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund will play Lille, and Feyenoord have drawn Inter Milan.

Ties will be played on 4-5 March and 11-12 March.
