Paris Saint-Germain reclaimed top spot in Ligue 1 with a 3-0 win over Le Havre, though Luis Enrique was left wanting more from his team.

Luis Enrique believes his Paris Saint-Germain team still have room for improvement despite returning to the Ligue 1 summit on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Le Havre.

PSG had been replaced at the top by Marseille heading into their clash at Parc des Princes, but overcame a stern test from Didier Digard's team to move two points clear.

Lee Kang-In's 29th-minute opener was followed up by second-half strikes from Joao Neves and substitute Bradley Barcola, making it eight league games without defeat.

The Parisiens were more than deserving of their win, having registered an expected goals (xG) total of 3.49 from their 31 shots, and the scoreline may have looked even more dominant had it not been for Le Havre goalkeeper Mory Diaw, who made eight saves in the game.

Le Havre did cause PSG problems, though, firing 12 shots of their own, but only four forced Lucas Chevalier into action, with Luis Enrique hoping his team can rediscover their flow against Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday.

"It's always difficult to manage things after an international break. You have to control each player's minutes, their condition, the journeys they've made," Luis Enrique said.

"I think the best thing we got today was the result. In the first half, I think we lacked precision, but the result is good, and these three points are very important for us.

"I'm looking for us to improve and for the team to play better, but right now getting results matters because we have to think about the next match.

"It will be a Champions League game, it was important for us to regain first place in the league. We need to keep improving."

Despite Luis Enrique's concerns, PSG now have 30 points after 13 matches in 2025-26 (W9 D1 L1), reaching at least this total at this stage for the fifth consecutive season.

Over the period (since 2021-22), Lens are the only other team in Ligue 1 to have earned at least 30 points after 13 matches in a season (30 in 2022-23).

The Parisiens also registered their 46th victory in all competitions in 2025 (D6 L8). Only in 2017 (48) have they managed to win more in a single calendar year (45 wins in 2015).

And though PSG's star-studded defence normally takes all the plaudits, Luis Enrique was quick to highlight the performance of his defence against Le Havre.

Indeed, PSG have now kept five clean sheets in six Ligue 1 home matches in 2025-26, already one more than in 17 encounters at the Parc des Princes last term.

"It was a really tough match. From the outside, seeing 3-0, you might think it was a comfortable win, but that wasn't the case at all," Luis Enrique added.

"We were put under pressure, but we know that matches right after an international break are always tricky. I'm happy. We won 3–0, we kept a clean sheet and we stayed top.

"Everyone's happy, and it gives us something positive to build on. Scoring goals, not conceding, staying at the top of the table.

"We've already played a lot of matches since August and there are still many more to come, so we'll recover properly to prepare for the next one, again and again."
