Forest 'look a different team' despite Burnley draw, insists Postecoglou

Nottingham Forest were held to a 1-1 draw against Burnley at Turf Moor, as a Jaidon Anthony strike cancelled out Neco Williams' opener.
Ange Postecoglou claimed his Nottingham Forest side "look a different team" from the one that lost to Arsenal last weekend.
Forest were held to a 1-1 draw by Burnley on Saturday, as Postecoglou's wait for his first win in charge continues.
The visitors went ahead after just 98 seconds, when Neco Williams's ferocious strike silenced Turf Moor.
Yet a lapse in concentration saw the Clarets respond within just 18 minutes, as Oleksandr Zinchenko was unable to keep Jaidon Anthony's close-range effort out.
Forest remain without a win in their last four Premier League matches, matching their longest barren spell since April 2024.
But Postecoglou, who is now winless in his last nine Premier League games (D2 L7) across his time at Forest and Tottenham, hailed his team's showing.
"From seven days ago from when we played Arsenal, we look a different team and we saw elements of that on Wednesday night too," the Forest head coach said, while pointing to a fine individual display from Burnley's Martin Dubravka, who made seven saves.
"He [Dubravka] was outstanding. Disappointed, but at the same time, the progress in our play is the most positive thing from me."
With Forest's European journey beginning next Wednesday against Real Betis, the games are coming thick and fast for the Tricky Trees, who lost to Swansea City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
"I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be great for this group of players," said Postecoglou, who won the Europa League with Spurs last season.
"I have three years of experience in the Europa League. Last year went well but it'll be great for these players."
Saturday's result meant that Burnley have now gone 26 home league games without conceding more than once, since a 2-1 defeat to Forest in May 2024.
“I think it was a good performance from us today to be fair and I’m very pleased with fundamentally how we went about it today," Scott Parker said.
"Obviously, going down so early, we showed huge character to get back into the game.
"But not just to get back in the game, we took a real stance in terms of how we showed ourselves today. We showed a different side to us, which was very good for a lot of the game, with the ball as well."
Burnley once again had Anthony to thank. His equaliser ensured he has now recorded three goals and one assist this season, matching the highest number of goal contributions by any Clarets player in the opening five matches of a Premier League campaign, a feat last achieved by Ashley Barnes with four in 2019–20.
"At times we had to survive, and I think if there’s one thing that this group can do at certain moments is survive, we’ve seen that over the course of certainly my time here," Parker added.
"We managed to do that. Pleased with a valuable point for us and we keep moving forward."
