Monaco have announced the signing of Paul Pogba, who has made his return to football after a doping ban.

Paul Pogba has signed for Monaco as he returns to football following his doping ban.

The former France World Cup winner has signed a two-year deal with Monaco, who will be the first French side he has played for in his senior career.

Pogba was provisionally suspended from playing for a doping offence in September 2023 and was handed an initial four-year ban in February 2024, though it was reduced to 18 months last October.

He then mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Juventus the following month, leaving him without a club.

"AS Monaco are delighted to announce the arrival of Paul Pogba. The French world champion has signed a two-season deal and is now tied to the Principality until 30 June 2027," the club said in a statement on their website.

After leaving Manchester United on a free transfer in 2022, Pogba made just 12 appearances during his second spell with Juve.

Pogba made 157 appearances in the Premier League across his two spells with United, scoring 29 goals and registering 38 assists.

He won the Europa League and EFL Cup with the Red Devils, in addition to four Serie A titles and four domestic cups in a previous spell with Juventus.

The 2013 Golden Boy award winner has also won 91 caps for France, scoring 11 and assisting eight times, winning both the Under-20 World Cup in 2013 and the World Cup in 2018.
