Manchester United stayed close to leaders Chelsea, while Arsenal also got a big win, but Liverpool are still at the bottom with no points.

Manchester United held onto their unbeaten Women's Super League record by edging to a 3-2 victory over Brighton at Broadfield Stadium.

After both Chelsea and Manchester City won on Saturday, United kept the pair in their sights by holding onto third place in the table.

Elisabeth Terland opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time, getting a stroke of luck as a deflection took the ball into her path.

Jess Park then doubled their lead in the 58th minute following some neat link-up play with Ella Toone, though Fran Kirby halved Brighton's deficit 10 minutes later after Kiko Seike had struck the woodwork.

Lisa Naalsund restored United's two-goal cushion with a low drive with one minute of the 90 remaining, and Seike's lovely, dinked finish three minutes later came too late as Brighton fell to a third straight defeat.

Arsenal, meanwhile, secured their first back-to-back wins since September after storming to a 4-1 victory over Leicester City, keeping them within five points of the summit in fifth.

The Gunners started on the front foot, with Alessia Russo taking just seven minutes to open the scoring with a close-range finish.

Sari Kees then turned into her own net under pressure from Caitlin Foord before Stina Blackstenius finished off a brilliant team move to put Arsenal out of sight at the break.

Substitute Noemie Mouchon pulled one back for Leicester, but a minute later, Blackstenius got her second with a powerful finish into the roof of the net.

Meanwhile, Liverpool remain without a single point this season after giving up their early lead in a 2-1 loss to Tottenham.

The Reds went ahead after just 11 minutes thanks to Beata Olsson, but Spurs fought back, with Toko Koga equalising eight minutes later.

Bethany England netted the winner early in a second half that had 20 minutes of stoppage time, due to Mia Enderby suffering a bad head injury towards the end of the match.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa and Everton played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, with the Toffees snatching a late point.

Kelly Gago's two goals bookended the match as she opened the scoring before Georgia Muller and Kirsty Hanson flipped the game on its head by the hour mark.

Hikaru Kitagawa pulled Everton level before Ruby Mace's own goal gifted Villa the lead once more, but Gago popped up again in the 94th minute with the all-important equaliser.

Data Debrief: United enjoying their travels

United have now won all four of their WSL away games this season, opening their campaign with such a streak for just the third time (previously in 2020-21 and 2022-23).

And they are unbeaten in each of their last 11 matches against Brighton in all competitions, ending a run of draws on their league visits to the Seagulls.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are still enduring their worst-ever losing streak, with their defeat to Spurs their eighth in a row.
