Bayern Munich thrashed Hamburg 5-0 on Saturday, making it three wins from three Bundesliga games in 2025-26.

Serge Gnabry is loving life at Bayern Munich as Vincent Kompany's team continued their winning start to the Bundesliga campaign in emphatic fashion.

Bayern cruised to a 5-0 win over promoted Hamburg on Saturday, with the Bundesliga champions going 4-0 up inside 29 minutes.

Gnabry opened the scoring in the third minute, with Aleksandar Pavlovic netting soon after.

Harry Kane converted a penalty and Luis Diaz helped himself to his third Bundesliga goal before the half-hour.

Diaz has scored in his first three Bundesliga matches for Bayern, equalling the club record previously achieved only by Ruggiero Rizzitelli in 1996, Luca Toni in 2007 and Mario Mandzukic in 2012.

Kane doubled his tally in the second half as Bayern ran riot, and Gnabry explained how it is all just clicking for a team that has already plundered 14 league goals this season.

"Overall, things are going very well for us as a team; it's a lot of fun," he said.

"We play well together, move the ball around well, and have a perfect understanding — it just works. Honestly, I don't know why I scored my goal — but today it just went in.

"I'm in a good mood right now, training as usual, pushing hard. But as an athlete, you also need a certain amount of luck on your side to make things work out.

"Last year, after a good phase, my knee slowed me down a bit. Now I'm healthy, feel good, have confidence — and right now, I'm in the flow."

Bayern had 22 shots, getting a whopping 12 on target, while limiting Hamburg to chances worth just 0.58 expected goals.

"Keeping a clean sheet and scoring five goals — that was impressive," said Kompany.

"The atmosphere in the stadium was simply fantastic. It was almost like an Oktoberfest feeling, and it was really fun. We started well, which always helps.

"Everything went smoothly in the first half; we could perhaps have done a bit more in the second. But we played well, controlled the game, and added another goal. In the end, it's a very good result.

"You can see that we're getting along better and better; a lot of things have settled in now. We've worked hard for the wins so far, so we deserve them."

Bayern's focus now turns to the Champions League, as they start their campaign against Chelsea on Wednesday.
