Adrien Rabiot has returned to Serie A with AC Milan after being put on the transfer list following a post-match altercation at Marseille.

AC Milan have confirmed the arrival of experienced midfielder Adrien Rabiot following his exit from Marseille.

Rabiot completed his switch to Serie A just before the transfer window slammed shut, bolstering Milan's midfield options for a reported €10m fee including bonuses.

He has signed a four-year contract with the club just weeks after being placed on the transfer list following an altercation with former Marseille team-mate Jonathan Rowe.

Marseille were beaten 1-0 by 10-man Rennes on the opening day of the season, with Rabiot accusing Rowe of a lack of effort at full-time, according to reports.

Both players exchanged a war of words in the dressing room before a physical altercation ensued, with the duo subsequently exiled from Roberto De Zerbi's squad.

Incidentally, Rabiot could make his Milan debut against Genoa, the team that Rowe has joined since leaving Marseille.

Rabiot's move sees him reunite with Massimiliano Allegri, with the midfielder playing under the Italian for three seasons during their time together at Juventus.

The France international made 212 appearances across all competitions for Juventus between 2019 and 2024, scoring 22 goals and providing 14 assists for his team-mates.

He also lifted four major honours, including the Serie A title in 2019-20 as well as two Coppa Italia crowns and one Supercoppa Italiana success five years ago.

Milan's business did not stop there, though, with the Rossoneri also confirming the arrival of highly-rated teenager David Odogu from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

Odogu has reportedly put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the club for a reported €7m transfer fee plus €3m in bonuses.
