Como 2-0 Juventus: Paz stars as visitors' winless run rolls on

Juventus' unconvincing start to the season continued as they were beaten 2-0 by Cesc Fabregas' Como in Serie A on Sunday.

Juventus' winless run continued as they lost 2-0 away to Cesc Fabregas' Como in Serie A, thanks to goals from Marc Oliver Kempf and Nico Paz.

Como got off to the ideal start as a well-fashioned corner routine saw Kempf stab home after getting on the end of a lethal Paz cross in the fourth minute at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.

The hosts were presented with a flurry of chances as former Juve striker Alvaro Morata and Alberto Moreno were denied by two brilliant stops from Michele Di Gregorio in the Bianconeri goal either side of the half-hour mark.

After the interval, Mergim Vojvoda forced another save from Di Gregorio with a low-driven effort, but the Italian shot-stopper did well to parry out of harm's way.

Teun Koopmeiners squandered a golden opportunity in the 63rd minute, as Andrea Cambiaso's cross located the unmarked Dutchman in the box.

Koopmeiners just needed to pick his spot, but headed into the arms of the diving Jean Butez.

Como made Juve pay in the 79th minute as a box-to-box counter-attack was rounded off by a superb Paz finish, as the earlier provider turned goalscorer to secure the club's first win over Juve since 1952.

Data Debrief: Como surmount Juventus hoodoo

Como's home form continues to impress, as they now remain unbeaten in their opening four Serie A home matches for the first time since the 1986-87 campaign, with two victories and two draws.

This result means that Como have registered their first Serie A victory over Juventus in over 73 years, having gone their previous 23 games without a win (L14 D9).

Meanwhile, Igor Tudor's side have failed to win in their last four games in Serie A, and their last six in all competitions, with Come having moved above Juve into fifth place in the standings.
