Milos Kerkez has become Liverpool's third summer signing, with the left-back joining the Premier League champions from Bournemouth.

Premier League champions Liverpool have continued their summer spending after confirming the arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Arne Slot's team, who have already welcomed Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz to Anfield, have now added Kerkez to their ranks.

The Hungary international has put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Reds, joining for a reported transfer fee of £40m after a fine season for Bournemouth.

Kerkez joined Bournemouth in 2023 from AZ but became a mainstay in the Cherries team under Andoni Iraola, featuring in all 38 of their Premier League fixtures in 2024-25.

The 21-year-old registered seven goal involvements (two goals, five assists) as Bournemouth finished ninth in the Premier League.

Only Rayan Ait-Nouri (11), Antonee Robinson (10), Daniel Munoz, Trent Alexander-Arnold (both nine) and Pedro Porro (eight) registered more among defenders in the division.

"It's a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, [the] biggest club in England. I'm just really, really happy and excited," Kerkez told the club's official website.

"After this, I'll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can't really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season."

Kerkez's arrival has put fellow left-back Andy Robertson's future into question, with the Scotland captain linked with a move to LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid in recent weeks.

Robertson managed to register just one assist in the Premier League last season, his lowest tally for Liverpool since joining the club back in 2017.
