Bayern Munich made history on Wednesday as they overcame Koln in the DFB-Pokal to win a 14th straight game since the start of 2025-26.

Bayern Munich are "never satisfied", and showed as much during their comeback win over Koln in the DFB-Pokal, so says Jonathan Tah.

Bundesliga leaders Bayern fell behind to Ragnar Ache's goal in the 31st minute on Wednesday, but stormed back to win 4-1 at RheinEnergieSTADION.

Luis Diaz and Michael Olise scored either side of Harry Kane's double as Bayern maintained their winning start to the campaign.

Bayern have now won 14 straight matches since the start of the season, setting a new record for a team from Europe's top five leagues, surpassing the 13 successive wins managed by AC Milan at the start of the 1992-93 campaign.

And defender Tah, who has settled in seamlessly since his free transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, says Bayern's reaction to going behind demonstrates how hungry this team are.

“It wasn't easy for us in the first half hour," he said.

"They played well and scored the first goal from a set-piece. Then the stadium and the atmosphere kicked in. But the way we handled that situation shows that we're ready for these moments.

"It didn't take long for us to make it 1-1 and then 2-1. That was a great team reaction.

"We're always hungry, we always want to win and we're never satisfied. We're happy today, and tomorrow we'll focus on the next game."

Bayern's winning run may now face a stern test. Bayer Leverkusen are up next in the Bundesliga, before a Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

"It was a great fight, a real cup match," said coach Vincent Kompany.

"I'm very happy with the fighting spirit of our lads. We came back from 1-0 down and remained dangerous in the second half. We kept the intensity high.

"Koln kept clawing themselves back into the game. We already had great chances in the first half. At times, we didn't execute our set pieces quickly enough. We were always dangerous when we had speed in our possession.

"It's important for us to use our squad, and we still have players returning. Now, we have three games in six days, so we'll only be recovering. Leverkusen and PSG will be tough, but we deserve to be confident."
