Manchester United earned their third successive victory with a 4-2 win over Brighton, but Ruben Amorim has refused to get carried away.

Ruben Amorim has urged Manchester United to stay grounded after their third straight Premier League victory lifted them into fourth place.

United's 4-2 win over Brighton at Old Trafford followed triumphs against Sunderland and Liverpool, marking a sharp upturn in their recent form.

The victory meant that United have recorded three straight Premier League victories for the first time since the period spanning May to August 2024.

Goals from Matheus Cunha and Casemiro handed United a commanding two-goal lead. While Brighton threatened late on, Bryan Mbeumo's second-half brace was enough to seal a deserved three points.

But Amorim warned his players not to lose focus as they prepare for a tricky away fixture against Nottingham Forest.

"You can sense that the team feels different," Amorim said.

"We believe we can respond to challenges and solve problems on the pitch, and that confidence helps us win games. But three weeks ago, things looked very different, and it can change again just as quickly. We have to keep that urgency in every training session."

Cunha finally opened his account for United, scoring his first goal for the club on his ninth appearance across all competitions.

The Brazilian found the net with his 25th attempt of the season, ending a frustrating run that had seen him record the most shots without a goal among all Premier League players in 2025-26 prior to this match.

"I think it was a more complete performance," Amorim added.

"We had possession, created chances, defended high and deep when needed. It felt like a more balanced display — and, as a manager, that makes me feel more complete too."
