Graham Potter's first Sweden squad includes Alexander Isak but Viktor Gyokeres is absent, with the Arsenal forward carrying an injury.

Viktor Gyokeres has not been included in Graham Potter's first Sweden squad but Alexander Isak is named in the party.

Arsenal striker Gyokeres was on target as the Gunners defeated Burnley 2-0 last weekend but was withdrawn at half-time amid fears he has suffered a hamstring injury.

Gyokeres was absent as Mikel Arteta's side defeated Slavia Prague 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday and is due to undergo further tests to learn the extent of the issue.

Liverpool striker Isak has been out of action since October 22 after injuring his groin in the Reds' 5-1 hammering of Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, the big-money signing from Newcastle United has been called up as Sweden prepare for World Cup qualifiers against Switzerland and Slovenia.

Tottenham youngster Lucas Bergvall is selected as he recovers from a concussion, while Newcastle winger Anthony Elanga is also among the Premier League contingent.

Potter was hired as the replacement for Jon Dahl Tomasson, who paid the price for taking just one point from the opening four qualifiers.

That came after Potter himself was sacked by West Ham at the end of September after a poor start to the Premier League season.

Potter has previous in Sweden, having coached Ostersund for seven years, winning the Swedish Cup in that time.

Sweden sit bottom of Group B in World Cup qualification, and would need to win both of their matches to stand a chance of progressing to the play-offs.
