Ange-Yoan Bonny stole the show as Inter headed into the international break with a 4-1 hammering of Cremonese in Serie A.

Cristian Chivu has no interest in finding "perfection" with Inter, but lauded his side's consistency after thrashing Cremonese on Saturday.

Inter eased to a 4-1 thrashing of their previously unbeaten visitors at San Siro, thanks to a goal and three assists from Ange-Yoan Bonny on his first Serie A start for the club.

The 21-year-old teed up Lautaro Martinez's opener, and second-half strikes for Federico Dimarco and Nicola Barella, as well as getting on the scoresheet himself in the 38th minute.

That win lifted Inter to fourth in the table, level on points with all of the top three, though AC Milan, Napoli and Roma are all yet to play this weekend.

Chivu hailed his side's work ethic but says there is still room for improvement after making it five wins in as many games in all competitions.

"I'm pleased with the team; they've been working hard to reach our goals," he told Inter's official media channel. "We still have room for improvement, but we have to be satisfied and aware of how we're playing.

"We're building consistency and having fun in how we play. It was great to see the team perform so well. Perfection doesn't exist, and we're not looking for it.

"Instead, we strive to do things well, enjoy ourselves, and put pressure on our opponents."

Bonny is just the second player across the last 20 Serie A seasons to be involved in four goals in his first start for a club, along with Dani Osvaldo, also for Inter, against Sassuolo in 2014 (two goals, two assists).

His chance came after an injury to Marcus Thuram, who was forced off in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Slavia Prague in the Champions League.

"I am happy with Bonny: he put in a great performance," the Inter boss added.

"We have him and Pio [Francesco Pio Esposito], who are young, and together with two more experienced players, they're contributing well."

Bonny and Chivu are no strangers to one another, having followed each other from Parma to Inter ahead of the 2025-26 season.

“Everything feels wonderful: this win gives us continuity, and I’m happy to have helped the team," Bonny said. "Chivu gives me confidence day in and day out, and I know he’ll give me my chances if I earn them.

"It’s always been like this, even back in Parma, and I’m grateful for that. I want to keep going down this path."
