Barcelona may be without Dani Olmo for El Clasico this month, with reports suggesting he could be sidelined for two to three weeks.

Dani Olmo has emerged as a major doubt for Barcelona's Clasico meeting with Real Madrid on October 26 due to injury.

Olmo withdrew from Spain's squad last week with a calf injury, missing the win over Georgia as he returned to Barcelona for tests.

The club confirmed on Monday that he had suffered a muscle injury, though they did not say how long he would be sidelined for.

However, Spanish media reports Olmo could be out for two to three weeks, which could see him miss the LaLiga clashes against Girona, Madrid and Elche, as well as their Champions League meeting with Olympiacos.

Olmo, who has made 10 appearances for Barcelona so far this season, also missed 20 matches in 2024-25 due to various fitness issues.

It follows the news that Ferran Torres also dropped out of Spain's squad on Monday ahead of their World Cup qualifier with Bulgaria.

Barcelona reported he has “muscle soreness in his left hamstring”, but has not been ruled out of action, which will be a boost to the Catalan club as he has netted five goals in all competitions so far this term.

The Blaugrana have also been boosted by the returns of Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez to training, with both stepping up their recovery after respective groin injuries.
