Atletico Madrid remain without an away win in LaLiga this season, with Iago Aspas' late goal consigning them to a draw with Celta Vigo.

Diego Simeone opted to stay positive after Atletico Madrid were pegged back to a late draw by Celta Vigo in LaLiga on Sunday.

Atletico are still without a win away from home in the league this season and looked set to get it thanks to Carl Starfelt's early own goal, despite Clement Lenglet's first-half sending-off.

However, Iago Aspas netted a late leveller to pin Simeone's side back. Atletico have now dropped 11 points from winning positions in LaLiga this season, more than any other team.

Atletico struggled in front of goal, managing just six shots overall, and one on target, as they accumulated 0.3 expected goals (xG).

It had looked like Atletico would earn a vital three points, having defended impressively as Celta piled on the pressure, and though they were eventually broken down, Simeone remained impressed by how his side performed.

"There's no point in talking about it [Lenglet's red card] because it's not going to change anything that happened," Simeone said.

"11 against 11, we had it under control. With 10 men, we behaved well defensively; we couldn't do so in attack, except for one from Koke. I'm very happy with the team's work.

"I'm keeping the positives. The team responded well in a complex situation, and they responded well.

"I left very happy. Very happy. Celebrating the work of the lads."
