Los Angeles FC have secured the future of veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who has penned fresh terms with the MLS club.

Hugo Lloris is "really delighted" to have penned a contract extension with Los Angeles FC, which will keep him at the club until 2027.

The French goalkeeper, who captained his country to the World Cup in 2018, joined the club in 2024 after his 12-year spell with Tottenham came to an end.

Lloris has made 91 appearances and helped LAFC win the U.S. Open Cup last year.

After signing his new deal, the 38-year-old said: "It's exactly what I was looking for as a project.

I want to still be performing at a high level, and LAFC was the club that I wanted to play for.

"[I'm] really delighted to be here and be part of this project."

Lloris is France's most-capped player of all time with 145 appearances, and captained Tottenham in the 2019 Champions League final, where they lost 2-0 to Liverpool.

He has a 69.6% save percentage in the MLS this season and plays with former Spurs forward Son Heung-min, who joined the club in August this year.

LAFC lost to the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Western Conference semi-finals.
