Kylian Mbappe was quick to thank his Real Madrid team-mates after receiving the European Golden Boot award for the 2024-25 season.

Kylian Mbappe said he is targeting "collective prizes" at Real Madrid after receiving the 2024-25 European Golden Boot award.

The Frenchman's 31 league goals last season saw him beat Mohammed Salah and Robert Lewandowski to the title, which is determined by a system weighted to favour more competitive leagues.

Mbappe has also enjoyed a stellar start to the current campaign in 2025-26, scoring 11 goals in 10 LaLiga matches while also finding the back of the net five times in three Champions League games.

The 26-year-old won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup in his maiden campaign with Los Blancos, but was unable to win any domestic silverware during the season.

After collecting his award, he stated his intentions to win more trophies with Madrid as he looks to write his name into the history books at the club.

"It's an important moment for me, the first time I win this prize. It means a lot to me as a forward," said Mbappe.

"We have an incredible group. I hope we're going to win important prizes this year. That's the most important thing, winning collective prizes.

"I hope to be here for many years and win this kind of thing many times. I hope we'll keep going as a team. As I say, the team is the most important thing.

"Without these players, it's impossible to win these prizes. I know that. I want to thank the club, the doctors, the staff who help me on and off the pitch. I hope I'll win it again, next year, I've started well!"
