Jonathan David has put an end to speculation about his future, signing a deal with Juventus to keep him at the Allianz Stadium to June 2030.

Juventus have announced the signing of Jonathan David on a free transfer.

David, who left Lille at the end of the 2024-25 season after five years in Ligue 1, has signed a five-year contract with Juventus, running through to June 2030.

The forward scored 87 goals in 178 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille. Since his debut in August 2020, only Kylian Mbappe has more goals in the French top-flight (111).

Overall, he netted 116 goals in all competitions across 249 appearances, while also registering 28 assists - he got 12 of those in 2024-25, his best return.

In Ligue last season, no player scored more Opta-defined 'big' chances than David (16, level with Ousmane Dembele). He had 32 such opportunities overall, giving him a 50% conversion rate.

David played a key role in Lille's Ligue 1 title during his first season with the club, following it up with a Trophee des Champions win at the start of the following campaign.

"Growing up as a kid, I always looked up to a club like Juventus and thought, this is probably one of the top 10 biggest clubs in the world," David told the official Bianconeri website.

"So, for me to be sitting here today is an honour.

"I'm very excited. Every step of the way is always a challenge, so coming to Serie A is also a challenge to adapt to the league, adapt to my teammates, and to be as successful as possible.

"I hope we have a great season and do everything to win titles here."
