Kyle Walker paid tribute to Burnley team-mate Loum Tchaouna, who he is expecting big things from after a stunning goal against Leeds United.

Kyle Walker believes Burnley team-mate Loum Tchaouna "has got the full potential to go all the way", after his wonder goal sealed victory over Leeds United.

The Clarets moved out of the Premier League's bottom three after only their second win of the season, as they prevailed 2-0 at Turf Moor.

Lesley Ugochukwu headed the hosts into a first-half lead, while Tchaouna secured all three points midway through the second half with a stunning 30-yard strike into the top corner.

Walker, who assisted Ugochukwu's opener, saluted the 22-year-old's efforts.

"It was a cracker," he told Premier League Productions. "His finishing in training is unbelievable.

"He is still young and still developing and needs to learn the English game, but from what we've seen, he has got the full potential to go all the way."

On the game, Walker added: "It's a massive win. We all knew that, especially when these teams [fellow bottom-half clubs] come to Turf Moor, we need to turn it into our game. They are coming to our home, and we need to take three points."

Despite enjoying just one-third of the possession, Scott Parker's side withstood large periods of Leeds pressure to triumph in the battle of the Championship's top two last season.

"First and foremost, a massive result for us," the Burnley boss said. "We went toe to toe with Leeds last year and really had some tough games. [They are] a really good side, a competitive team, so to get the result is really pleasing.

"I thought large parts of our performance were impressive. In the second half, there were elements where we needed to show another side.

"I have been critical the last few weeks in terms of us having nous and understanding what is needed. I saw a group of men at the end of the game that were in their reserves and had to dig deep, so it's very pleasing to get the result.

"We have a mantra here: 'Each game as it comes'. This league is deadly. We got a result today which we were well worthy of, and now we move onto another competitive game against Wolves [next weekend]."

Meanwhile, Leeds suffered their fourth defeat of the season, and 17th from their last 22 Premier League away games.

Daniel Farke's side created 19 chances during the clash with an xG of 1.67, but just four of them were on target, with their profligacy epitomised when Jayden Bogle fired over from two yards out.

"I can't blame the lads too much," the Leeds boss said. "You can't have better statistics than we had today in an away game at this level.

"Even when Arsenal, Liverpool and [Manchester] City come here, they will not have those statistics. But in football, it is all about the goals, and we were not effective enough today.

"We missed too many chances, and we allowed them to have a chance either side of half-time. Credit to them, they were able to be more effective than us, and that was decisive today.

"Performance wise, I can't complain, but this is how football works. We want to pick up points everywhere and, for that, we need good performances. We showed today in many, many aspects, but effectiveness is what's crucial. This is what we need to add to our game."
