Hudson-Odoi: Forest want to go all the way in the Europa League

Nottingham Forest boosted their chances of finishing in the top eight of the Europa League with a 2-1 win over Utrecht.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has his eyes set on Europa League glory after Nottingham Forest downed Utrecht in the Netherlands.

Igor Jesus scored a late winner to give Sean Dyche’s side a 2-1 win and bring them within touching distance of the top eight in the league phase.

Jesus netted just one minute and 20 seconds after entering the pitch, making it the fastest goal scored by a substitute in the Europa League since Tomas Chory’s strike for Slavia Prague vs Malmo FF back in January (28 seconds).

Forest face Braga on the road before hosting Ferencvaros in their final two fixtures in January, with both sides currently occupying spots in the top eight.

Hudson-Odoi, who has previously won both the Champions League and Europa League with Chelsea, wants to enjoy more European success at the Forest Ground.

“It was difficult. Going 1-0 up, you want to maintain the lead and try and see it all the way through, but we concede,” the winger told TNT Sports.

“It's a sloppy goal from us, we know it as well. But the reaction was good, we got the second goal and we saw the game out.

“We want to go all the way to the final and try and win it, but it's a long way to that still.

“I wanted a goal, you could see that, but it's not always about scoring, it's about helping the team going forward and defensively.

“I kept saying to myself they are going to come and once they come, hopefully they will just keep flowing in nicely. I'm just enjoying playing my football. I've just got to keep working and doing the right things.”
