Marcus Rashford has departed Manchester United on loan once again, with LaLiga giants Barcelona signing the England international.

Barcelona have completed the signing of Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United.

Rashford fell out of favour under Ruben Amorim last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Aston Villa.

The England international directly contributed to nine goals for Villa in all competitions, which is a higher tally of goal involvements than any United player managed in the back half of last season.

However, he has again been deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford, with new signing Matheus Cunha having taken Rashford's number 10 shirt, and he has now joined LaLiga champions Barca.

The Blaugrana, who missed out on winger Nico Williams after the youngster elected to stay at Athletic Bilbao, have an option to buy Rashford.

Barcelona reportedly have the option to buy him for around €30m (£26m) next year, and are set to cover all of his wages during the loan.

However, they are currently unable to register Rashford due to their ongoing financial issues.

Rashford has scored 138 goals for United, providing a further 60 assists, recording 198 goal contributions in total since he made his senior debut in 2016.

Of Rashford's goals for the Red Devils, 87 came in the Premier League.

Across all competitions in 2024-25, Rashford averaged a goal contribution every 128 minutes.

Rashford's move to Barca comes as United completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for a reported £65m plus up to £6m in add-ons.
