Clinton and Reid hand England double injury blow

England have had two injury withdrawals from the squad on the first day of their October camp, with defensive cover called up in Grace Fisk.
England have been dealt with a double injury blow, with both Grace Clinton and Katie Reid withdrawing from the squad ahead of their upcoming friendlies.
Clinton was named in the squad despite missing Manchester City's last match against Liverpool through injury.
She has scored once in her three matches since moving to City from rivals Manchester United, netting on her debut in a big win over West Ham.
Reid, meanwhile, had received her maiden call-up, but will have to wait for her first Lionesses appearance after also suffering a "small injury", and both players will remain at their clubs to rehabilitate.
In the Arsenal defender's absence, England have called up uncapped Gemma Fisk.
The Liverpool captain had previously been called up in 2020 for the SheBelieves Cup, but she will now have the opportunity to make her debut.
England face Brazil in their first friendly at the Etihad Stadium on October 25, before hosting Australia at Pride Park three days later.
Sarina Wiegman was already without Euro 2025 winners Laren James, Leah Williamson and Lauren Hemp through injury for the October camp.
