Mattia De Sciglio has joined Lyon for the 2020-21 season, but it may not be all about outgoings for Juventus on deadline day.

Juventus have confirmed Mattia De Sciglio has joined Lyon on loan, while Federico Chiesa seems set to join the Serie A champions on deadline day.

Defender De Sciglio will spend the 2020-21 season at the Ligue 1 club in a deal that, according to media reports in France, does not include an option to buy.

The 27-year-old full-back has made 62 appearances for Juve since arriving from Milan in 2017, winning the Serie A title in each of his three seasons with the Bianconeri.

"Mattia's commitment to the Juventus cause has never once been lacking in training, on the field of play, and also off the pitch," Juventus said in a statement.

"He displayed a continuous seriousness and willingness to fight for his team.

"We thank De Sciglio for this time together, and, as such, we wish him good luck for his next adventure."

Juve have also allowed Douglas Costa to depart on loan, the Brazilian winger returning to former club Bayern Munich.

However, coach Andrea Pirlo is set to see one new addition to his squad before the transfer window closes, with Chiesa expected to sign.

The Italy international will reportedly join from Fiorentina on a two-year loan with a purchase option included.
