Timo Werner joined Chelsea training for the first time on Monday as they continued work after qualifying for the Champions League. 

Striker Werner completed a reported £47.5million (€53m) transfer from RB Leipzig in June. 

However, with the delayed 2019-20 campaign still ongoing due to the coronavirus pandemic, Werner has not yet been eligible to make his Blues debut. 

While that will remain the case until the new season kicks off on September 12, the Germany international has already travelled to London. 

Werner was spotted watching Chelsea's crucial victory over Wolves from the stands at Stamford Bridge on Sunday as they sealed a fourth-placed finish. 

And as his new team-mates prepare for this weekend's FA Cup final against Arsenal, Werner was involved in training on Monday. 

Chelsea shared pictures of the 24-year-old in action at their Cobham training ground on their social media accounts. 

Werner opted to join Chelsea early instead of remaining with Leipzig for their Champions League campaign.

Frank Lampard's side have also signed Hakim Ziyech, while Werner's Germany colleague Kai Havertz is said to be another target.
